Did you ever have a charge on your phone bill for a number you didn't remember calling? Wendy Boswell tells you how to find out who is at the other end of that number using Google's phonebook feature. Of course you can also use the phonebook search to look up numbers by name instead of paying for directory assistance.

These “free” reverse phone nubmer lookups are no such thing. Even ask and google lead you to a place where you have to pay to find out the name associated w the number. I have only been able to get the communications company and maybe the city/state associated with the number. But never a name … not for free. It is seriously false advertising.

I agree, this is false advertising and I’m so disappointed that Google would deceive the public. I was always a fan of Google, but no more. I have tried the “free” reverse telephone number look up and all I get it the Price to get the information.
