Tide with Dawn Sample

I think all the regular readers know by now that I don't have much brand loyalty. In my opinion, there is not much difference from one brand of most consumer products to another, especially when it comes to laundry detergent. One notable exception to my lack of brand loyalty is Dawn dish detergent. I guess their "grease cutting" commercials must have brain-washed me. Did you notice the unintentional subtle humorous wording?

So, will adding Dawn dish detergent to Tide laundry detergent really make it better at removing stains? I have absolutely no idea. That's why I went ahead and ordered a free sample. You can find a link to this offer and others on the Procter & Gamble offers profile page. Please note that I have a direct link to the offer on my profile page and it is not listed on the P&G site.

I am only brand loyal to a few things, one of which is Dawn, I love this stuff, nothing gets my dishes as squeaky clean as Dawn and it’s very gentle to my skin as well.

The other thing I am loyal to is Downy, I bought 6 bath sheets at Costco a few years ago and sent one to a friend in Canada, they used whatever cheap brand is available and I used only Tide and Downy and Bounce, and today my towel is still super soft and the towel I sent to the friend is hard and rough. If I didn’t know they were the same towels I wouldn’t believe it.

We boycott Tide because it is tested on animals – Beagles to be specific. They buy a group of Beagles, rub Tide in their eyes, inject it, and so on. When these animals have served Tide’s purpose, they take them all to the shelter, buy a new group, and start again. Please familiarize yourself with such practices before recommending products. Thank you, DJ

Dawn has many other purposes unique to itself. My particular use is killing fleas. It was recommended to me at a chain pet store above any product they sell.
