A New Free Way to Work With PDF Files

Wednesday October 1, 2008
Earlier I told you about three ways to create PDF files for free. That is great if you are creating a PDF document, but what if you need to edit a PDF file?

PDFescape is on online application that lets you open a PDF file from your computer or from the Web and edit it then save it. You can use the whiteout tool to erase sections, you can add text, arrows and check marks. You can even add links and form fields to the document.

All of the above features are free. You can use the site without registering, but if you want to save documents to work on later you need to register, and that is free too.

PDFescape.com works great with a big selection of editing tools. I use pdf files a lot and being able to edit them this way is terrific. Online editing and storage, e.g. Google Office and Zoho, is becoming popular and now we have this one for pdf’s. I tried it with my Linux operating system using a Mozilla browser and it worked great.
