Are you finding it difficult to get ad buyers interested in this type of program?

JD Prut, VP of Marketing, DMV Media, Inc

Naturally, any company that introduces something new or groundbreaking is almost guaranteed to go through the stage where the customer assesses, compares, doubts, ridicules, and criticizes, but eventually hopefully likes and accepts the product or service. Not to compare, but even Bill Gates was once laughed at by investors when he was first pitching his idea. We are confident that this concept will attract more and more advertisers in the near future. This is definitely an opportunity that advertisers will find both cost-effective, and efficient in their marketing, branding, and promotional efforts.

Alvin Clay, AdSmart Outdoor Advertising

At first it is hard to explain what an autoad is to an ad buyer who has never heard of the medium. We have a pictures and cars that we can actually show them that gets them interested. The word is getting out there and many ad buyers know what the medium is and how the program works when we first approach them, but they question the effectiveness of the medium. Everyone we talk to is very excited about it. This program is new and unique and gives advertisers a lot of room to work with in getting their product or service known. It is very dynamic. As time goes on, it won't be as difficult to convince buyers that this medium works and that people will realize they are getting marketed to. However my philosophy behind a new marketing medium is not to question whether or not consumers will know that they are seeing an advertisement, but actually to use their naivety to market to your consumers without them realizing they are getting bombarded with advertisements. People tend to ignore marketing if they know its coming at them. I tell ad buyers to jump on this medium while people still don't know what hit them. A new and innovative medium calls for different thinking then traditional marketing tells us.

This medium is relatively new, but the response by the advertising community has been phenomenal! e anticipate that mobile advertising will become a main stream media. Advertising companies and agencies are opening their arms to mobile advertising. Quantifying the medium is the only issue that needs to be documented. As it is the interest is growing exponentially. We freel the growth of this market will be nothing short of astronomical.

There is an overwhelming interest in the medium. It just takes time for the buyers to incorporate it into their marketing programs. Some companies we are dealing with are making buys now for January 2002...!! You will see some great programs rolling out later this spring and summer with companies we signed up last year!!
