Mystery Shopping Revisited

Another viewpoint on mystery shopping

From Lee Seats, About.com Guide

Quite some time ago, I wrote an article based on my mystery shopping experiences. I have since had a number of comments indicating that the article is too one-sided. They are right, it is a narrow view of mystery shopping since it is based solely on my experiences. That original article did turn out to sound pretty harsh. Part of that was unintentional and part was intentional -- meant to counteract the considerable hype that was being spread by some mystery shopping promoters at the time.

I was recently contacted by Melanie Jordan, who is a professional mystery shopper and author of two e-books on mystery shopping -- see Ms. Jordan's website for more information. Ms. Jordan understood my point of view, but realized that my article was not the whole story on mystery shopping. She volunteered to provide some information that shows things from the viewpoint of a professional mystery shopper who has found keys to mystery shopping success.

Check out the next page to see what this professional mystery shopper has to say.
