By Melanie Jordan, author of "The Perfect Work-At-Home Job: Mystery Shopping" and "How-To Finally Make Money As A Mystery Shopper".

I enjoyed reading Lee's Article "A Typical Mystery Shopping Assignment" because it is a classic case of an eager newbie jumping into the mystery shopping field, only to find it was not what they thought they bargained for. But depending upon your approach, it can either be the road to overworked and underpaid, or if you do it right, it can be quite lucrative for a home-based, flexible job.

On the next page, find out what shoppers who actually make real money in this field learn.
