Free Online Greeting Cards No More?
Is it the end of free online greetings?

• Free Greeting Cards

If you send a lot of online greeting cards, you probably already know that Blue Mountain and AmericanGreetings.com, two of the biggest and best known online greeting card sites, now charge a fee for full access. Both sites offer a limited number of free cards, but if you want more variety and extra features you need to pay a yearly fee.

With a very difficult advertising market, they were apparently not able to continue as entirely ad supported free services. Does this mean the end of free greeting card services?

Fortunately for us freebies lovers, there are still many places on the Net to send free greeting cards, and I suspect there always will be. AmericanGreetings.com and Blue Mountain are very large, high volume sites, and they eat up a lot of cash just to stay in operation. However, there are many smaller sites that do not have that kind of overhead to deal with.
