If you have never been called a geek, you may want to pass on by this article. I try to find and list things of interest to a wide variety of people, but I've often overlooked the hard-core techies out there. I've now added a section called Hi-Tech Freebies, just for those of us whose conversations tend to contain more acronyms than normal words.

I'll admit it -- I'm a geek. I probably spend more hours with my fingers on the keys and my eyes on the monitor than the average person spends in all waking activities. It's a little known fact that geeks never sleep. Even when we do crawl under the covers for an hour or two, our minds are still filled with thoughts of networks, IP addresses and powers of two -- all while we dream of the next hi-tech gadget we desire.

This section is starting with a small selection of free geeky items and online resources, but you can expect the list to expand, since we bit-heads can never have enough hi-tech goodies, particularly when they are free.
