Free Patterns
If you have an interest in crafts of almost any kind you will be very happy to know that the About.com Arts and Crafts sites have an abundance of free patterns for you. There are 15 or so different sites each led by a Guide who is passionate about their craft and about helping you get the most from your favorite crafting endeavors.
I've started an index on the Freebies site to help you go right to the free patterns. Of course all of the sites have much more to offer than free patterns, but I'll let you explore the rest of the content and links on your own.
The Freebies Arts and Crafts patterns index primarily lists those pages where the Guides have patterns on their own site. Many of these patterns are designed by the Guide but some are public domain patterns or patterns contributed by others.
Each of the sites also has many links to free patterns on other sites, but I'll save most of those pages for a future free patterns index.
