Free Pricing Services

The way I shop for things has changed in recent years. I do more of my shopping on the Web and even when I don't buy on the Net I use it to compare prices.

I used to go from store to store, pour through catalogs and make dozens of phone calls to find the best price. (I bet you had already guessed that your Freebies Guide always finds the best price when he shops.)

It is becoming easier to find what you want on the Web and get prices from all of the top merchants. This is particularly true of computer related goods, electronics, books and CDs. Other items are making their way online also.

You could go from one vendor Web site to the next looking for the best price, but there is a much easier way. There are a number of online pricing services that you can use for free. These sites collect or link to prices from many merchants and display these when you do a search.

I have listed an assortment of these price comparison services on the Free Pricing Services Net links page. The ones you should use will depend on what you are shopping for and your personal preference for the type of results you get.
