| These people actually want your AOL CDs | ||||||
AOL seems to think that everyone needs dozens of their CDs. I never really counted them, but I bet I have received 50 of them in the last five years. You can use them for coasters, but they are not very absorbent. You can decorate your walls if you are really desperate and have no real sense of aesthetics. You can try to fly then like Frisbees, but that's only fun for about five minutes. If you have a pile of these useless disks, there are people that would like to receive them. Tweedledumber.com is an offbeat entertainment site that is requesting your AOL CDs. They will keep track of how many people send and post their names and number contributed on the site. They don't specify exactly what they have planned, but based on their testing of hard drives with a 30-06 rifle and blowing up a bowling ball with dynamite, you can bet it will something off the wall. The guys running No More AOL CDs.com are collecting AOL CDs in a project to demonstrate to AOL that people do not want them and that they are creating a lot of environmental waste. Once the get one million CDs they plan to deliver them to AOL's doorstep. If you have been collecting AOL CDs and don't know why, here is your chance to get rid of them and help someone with a crazy cause at the same time.
