Golden Books with a Golden Heart

No matter how many years you have seen go by you probably remember those Golden Books you loved as a child. Golden Books has kept up with the times and they run a very cheerful and fun Website. This Holiday Season they are combining fun and giving to create a unique online experience for your kids.

Goldie's Winter Wonderland features Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and a whole lot fun games and activities. That in itself is cool, but that's not what really makes this site a winner. When kids play games, send electronic postcards or participate in other activities on the site they "earn" free virtual gift packages. They can then help the elves load the packages on trucks. Each package generates a donation for the Marine's Toys for Tots campaign. Kids can then check on the progress of the donations.

This is a great way to let kids help other less fortunate kids and have fun in the process. There is no registration required, so kids of all ages can participate and parents don't need to worry about privacy issues. They are also having a daily drawing for a free Rudolph DVD or Video, but you do need to provide and email address for the drawing.

Golden Books has a long history of supporting education and helping kids. Goldie's Winter Wonderland is a fine example of how companies can use the Internet in a very positive manner.
