SendThisFile File Transfer Service This is not a file storage service, bit it is a pretty convenient way to send large files to someone else or to yourself at another location. At this posting they are in beta testing and all accounts are free. When they finish beta testing they plan to still provide free accounts with reduced file transfer speeds. FilesAnywhere I don't normally list trial accounts, but I have word directly from the company CEO that they don't mind if people re-register for a free trial account when the 30 day trial is over. FilesAnywhere offers 50 megs of storage and a slick easy to use interface. There are limits on single file size and number of daily logins for the trial accounts. Swift Desk Swift Desk not only gives you 30 megs of free file storage, you also get email, calendar, Web site, reminder service, and online bookmarks. Transloader Transloader doesn't offer file storage, but they allow you to transfer files from one Internet server to another. This is very useful for WebTV users or anyone that that needs to move files from one place to another without downloading them to their machine. Yahoo Briefcase You get 30 megs of free online storage and if you are already registered for another free Yahoo service such as email, you can use the same account. Znail Znail allows you to store files, bookmarks, notes and more online so you can use them anywhere. You get 50 megs of storage. This is one of the pioneer sites for this type of service. It uses a clean, fast and easy to use interface and they have no banner ads.
