FreeBASIC the Successor to QuickBASIC

By

FreeBASIC is just what the doctor ordered for those of us who don't have the time or inclination to learn one of more complex programming languages, but do need or to create a quick program for a specific task now and then.

FreeBASIC is a free and open source 32 bit programming language that supports all the commands possible from QuickBASIC. It also adds much more powerful graphics commands and creates much faster code than QuickBASIC did.

If you happen to already know QuickBASIC then a brief glance at the online documentation for FreeBASIC is all you will need to be on your way to creating new programs or converting your old QuickBASIC programs.

If you are a newcomer to this kind of programming language you will want to read the online documentation and visit the support forums.
