The Home Depot runs monthly free "How-To Clinics" for children ages 6-12 at all Home Depot stores. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The kids build pre-fabricated kits that are fun and educational.
They offer over fifty projects. Children learn to work safely with tools and also pick up some do-it-yourself skills.
Kids get the project kit, a free Home Depot orange apron, and an achievement pin. That's not a bad deal when it is all free!
