Save Big on Groceries With Combined Savings Strategies

Learn how to multiply your grocery savings

From , former About.com Guide

We all need to eat and any way you look at we are paying more to do so. Fewer and fewer people are eating out and that means the grocery bill is becoming an even larger portion of our budgets. The one good thing about that is it provides a place to concentrate our money saving efforts to gain the most savings.

If you really want to make a nice dent in your grocery spending you need to use multiple strategies. Just clipping the coupons from the Sunday paper will only save you so much money. However, if you combine tactics you can create a synergy that multiplies your savings. Here are three tips that you can combine for big savings:

Circular Savings

One of my favorite money saving and time saving free services is Mygrocerydeals.com Grocery Deal Finder. Not only can you find the best deals from all your local markets, you can also find lots of coupons from two different online coupon sources.

Double Coupon Savings

Another great resource for saving money our own Coupons and Bargains site by Donna Montaldo. Donna offers a state by state list of stores that double coupons as well as many other money saving resources.

Stockpile Savings

Erin Huffstetler, our Frugal Living Guide offers great tools like her printable grocery stockpile list. With Erin's list of non-perishable items you avoid playing full price by only buying those items when they are on sale.

The combination of these three free tools can be a powerful and time saving way to save some serious money on your grocery bill.
