This might be the perfect solution for you if you have three little ones to sleep or if you have frequent visitors. Each bunk fits a twin mattress. There are a lot of perks to this build, it saves precious space and you can build it for under $200 in materials. The bottom bunk sits on the floor and the top bunk goes all the way up to the ceiling. It's been decorated with a cubby for each child as well as curtains to give it that fort-like feel. This strong bunk bed is built out of sturdy lumber and will hold quite a bit of weight.

    Here's a straightforward plan that you can use to DIY a basic bunk bed from Instructables. These are platform beds with one bed on the ground and the other just above. There's not much to it, but that's what makes this a quick build. It also doesn't take a lot of lumber to build, making it easy on the wallet.
