The US Federal Government offers many free publications and other resources to help consumers manage their money and learn to be smart consumers. Here are a number of them that you may find very useful.

2008 Consumer Action Handbook

Every year the FCIC offers a new handbook packed with advice to help consumers avoid scams and deal with companies that fail to provide quality products. They are now taking orders for the 2007 version which starts shipping in February 2007.

Investments Information Package

The Federal Citizen Information Center of the U.S. General Services Administration (the Pueblo Colorado folks) offers a free The FCIC package of information to help you understand investments.

Cyber Security Toolkit for Teens

The Federal Citizen Information Center (FCIC) offers a free toolkit featuring an interactive DVD from the National Cyber Security Alliance to help teach teens about remaining safe while using the Internet.

My Money Toolkit

The U.S. Financial Literacy and Education Commission offers a whole packet of publications to help you make good decisions for "saving, investing, protecting, and getting the most out of your money."
