Outback Steakhouse is giving away free food to veterans and active military for Veterans Day 2023.

If you don't make it to an Outback Steakhouse, there are plenty of other restaurants that typically give out free food in November, including Chili'sDenny'sGolden Corral, BJ'sO'Charley's, Red Lobster, T.G.I. Friday's, Texas Roadhouse, LongHorn Steakhouse, Red Robin, IHOPOlive Garden, and Applebee's.

In addition to free food this Veterans Day are many other businesses that are discounting purchases and handing out other types of free stuff. See this list of Veterans Day Freebies and Discounts for more information.

Outback Steakhouse Offer

The Veterans Day 2023 free food offer from Outback Steakhouse is that any active or retired military member gets a free Bloomin' Onion and Coca-Cola product (or 16 oz domestic draft — one beverage for military personnel and one for their spouse) when they purchase at adult entree.

Additionally, a $10 off coupon is available for a future visit. There's also a 10% discount available for nurses, doctors, medical staff, servicemen and women, police officers, and firefighters.

When the Offer Is Valid

Outback Steakhouse's Veterans Day offer is available on Veterans Day, which is on Saturday, November 11. After you've found a nearby Outback Steakhouse, it'd be best to give them a call to verify that the location is participating in the Veterans Day offer.

The $10 off is available when eligible customers dine-in on November 11, but must redeemed between November 12 and December 17, 2023.

The 10% discount is valid all day long, any day of the year.

Who Is Eligible

Outback Steakhouse's Veterans Day free food can be enjoyed by all military personnel. This includes not only veterans, but also active duty military and respective spouses.

However, this means if you bring friends or other family with you, only the military members and their spouses are eligible to take advantage of the deal. Of course, if you fall under one of the categories mentioned above, you can get 10 percent off your meal.

This is just one of a few restrictions put in place by Outback Steakhouse—others are explained below.

Valid ID

Military ID is required for eligible customers to get their free food or discount on Veterans Day. This proof of service isn't unique to Outback Steakhouse; nearly all restaurants that have Veterans Day free meals or discounts will require some sort of verification to prove that you're an active or retired military member.

Here's what's allowed: U.S. Uniformed Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Veterans Organization Card (i.e. American Legion and VFW), DD214 Certificate, Veteran Identification Card (VIC), a photograph in U.S. uniform, or come wearing U.S. uniform.

Restrictions

The free food offer is valid for dine-in orders only, and it does not include tax and gratuity.

The 10% discount for other service members can be taken advantage of any day of the year.

It's important that you bring a military ID with you. Any veteran or military member that doesn't present a military ID may not be able to enjoy the discount. If you can't provide a military ID, but instead have some other form of proof of service, it's best to contact your local Outback Steakhouse to see if they can work with you.
