There are plenty of Veterans Day free meals to be had this year as well as some other additional discounts on items other than food. You'll be able to stop into any of the restaurants below on or around Veterans Day this year to get your free meal.

Tip: Pay close attention to the date listed and what you need to bring so you qualify for the free meal. They don't all take place on Veterans Day (Sunday, November 11, 2012 but observed on Monday, November 12, 2012) and some require different forms of identification.

Tip: Some of these Veterans Day free meals are nationwide but some are only at participating locations. Please call the restaurant before you leave home to make sure they are taking part. This list is 6 pages long! Look through them all so you don't miss out on a favorite.

On Monday, November 12, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Golden Corral will be giving out Veterans Day free meals to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on current active duty.

All Golden Corral locations will be participating and no identification is required to get your free meal.

Last year, Golden Corral served over 375,000 veterans a Veterans Day free meal!

Denny's Veterans Day All You Can Eat Pancakes (Monday, November 12, 2012)

Stop by Denny's on Monday, November 12, 2012 and all active, non-active, and retired military personnel can get free all you can eat pancakes from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

All Denny's locations are participating in this promotion and you'll just need to bring a valid military ID along with you.

T.G.I. Friday's Veterans Day Free Lunch (Monday, November 12, 2012)

T.G.I. Friday's will be having free lunch for all veterans on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at participating locations. Be sure to contact your local T.G.I Friday's for details.

Bring in proof of military service (U.S. Uniforms Services ID Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card, a Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, a DD214, a photograph in uniform, or wear your uniform) and you'll be able to choose any item off the lunch menu for free.

Texas Roadhouse Veterans Day Free Meal (Monday, November 12, 2012)

Texas Roadhouse will be giving away Veterans Day free meals for lunch on Monday, November 12, 2012 to active, former, or retired military.

Free entrees include your choice of steak, country fried chicken, country fried sirloin, pulled pork, pork chop, cheeseburger, BBQ chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, grilled chicken salad, or chicken critter salad plus your choice of sides. You'll also get a free coca-cola product, tea, or coffee.

You'll need to bring in a military ID, Veterans Affairs card, or Discharge papers. Dine-in only at a Texas Roadhouse near you.

Veterans and active duty military can stop into their local Red Robin on Monday, November 12 to get a free Red's Tavern Double burger and Bottomless Steak Fries.

Be sure to bring your military ID to take advantage of this Veterans Day freebie.

Outback Steakhouse Free Bloomin' Onion (Sunday & Monday, November 11 & 12, 2012)

Stop into any Outback Steakhouse on November 11-12, 2012 to get a free Bloomin' Onion and Coca-Cola product. This offer is for veterans as well as active duty military.

You'll need to bring in one ID such as a U.S. Uniform Services ID card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings statement, DD form 214, a veterans organization card, a photograph of you in uniform, or you can wear your uniform to get your free Veterans Day meal.

Outback Steakhouse is also giving out a military discount of 10% off the total check November 13 to December 31, 2012.

California Pizza Kitchen Free Meal (Sunday & Monday, November 11 & 12, 2012)

California Pizza Kitchen is having a Veterans Day free meal as well and both veterans and those in active military duty can take advantage.

Stop by your local California Pizza Kitchen on Sunday, November 11, 2012 or Monday, November 12, 2012 and you can get a free pizza and non-alcoholic beverage when you dine-in.

You'll need come in uniform or bring your military ID or another proof of service.

On The Border Free Veterans Day Meal (November 12 - November 30, 2012)

On The Border is giving veterans who have proof of military service a free entree certificate valid up to $10. This certificate can be redeemed any time between November 12 and November 30, 2012.

This free Veterans Day meal is only valid for dine-in at participating On The Borders near you.

Arby's Free Roast Beef Sandwich for Veterans Day (Monday, November 12, 2012)
