Free Carve Your Own Pumpkin Halloween Greeting Card

From Lee Seats, for About.com

There are many free Halloween E-greetings on the Net, but not many that allow you to be creative other than writing your own text. With the TheoWorlds Virtual Jack-o-Lantern you carve your own Halloween pumpkin which becomes part of a very elegant looking Halloween greeting card. Here are a few tips to help you create your own special Halloween greeting card:
  • Getting Started - You need Flash version 7 or higher to use the site. For some reason I kept wanting to click on the pumpkin to get started. It took me a little while to notice there is a start button at the lower right. You need to click the button to start your pumpkin masterpiece.
  • Lose the Sound - I found the music and sound effects to be quite annoying after a couple minutes. You can turn it off with the button on the lower left.
  • For the Less Artistic - My artistic skills are at about the level of the average third grader. I found it much easier to carve a respectable pumpkin by choosing the strait cuts instead of the default free-hand cuts.
If you want to check out my greeting all you freebies lovers out there, you can find it here.

The site's privacy policy states that they will not share your information and I was assured by a representative of the site that they only use your email address to let you know the card is sent and to send you their newsletter if you leave the newsletter box checked. They only use the card recipient addresses to send your card.
