The Mutopia Project offers a collection of free printable sheet music. Most of the collection is classical, but there is some jazz and other styles are represented.
How to get a the free sheet music:
Visit the Mutopia Project site. You can browse the sheet music collection by composer, instrument, or style or you can use the search feature. Once you have selected the music of interest you can download it in PDF or PostScript format for 8.5x11 or A4 paper. There are also MIDI files availabe for most selections.
Is all of the free sheet music legal?:
The Mutopia Project indicates the license type for each piece of sheet music. Most are public domain, transcribed from arrangements for which the copyright has expired. Some selections are released by the composer or arranger with a Creative Commons license.
