One of my favorite freebies to receive in the mail are free shampoo samples and other free beauty samples. These little packets of shampoo, conditioner, and sometimes a styling product, let me try out shampoos before I dive in and purchase a big bottle.
An added bonus is that a lot of the times these free shampoo samples come with coupons that can really help me save money on the big bottles.
I also love to use free shampoo samples when I travel. They take up almost no room in my suitcase and they're easy to use and toss when I'm done with them. I've got quite a stock pile of free shampoo samples and when I have guests they never have to worry if they forgot their shampoo.

The way that hair care companies most often give out free shampoo samples is from their websites and Facebook pages.
When these free shampoo samples are available I post them on the About.com Freebies blog. I also post them on my Facebook and Twitter pages so that's an easy way to find out about new shampoo samples as they become available.
2. Walmart's Free Shampoo Samples

Walmart.com has a free sample program where they post a few new free samples every week. A lot of these free samples given away are free shampoo samples.
Just in the past few months there have been free shampoo samples available from John Frieda, Pantene, Dove, and Garnier Fructis.
Your local Walmart also gives away free shampoo samples on a regular basis. You can learn more about the free sample events at Walmart and find out what free shampoo samples will be given away at your local Walmart in the upcoming weeks.

Vocalpoint is another great source for free shampoo samples. In fact, you may even be able to get free full-sized bottles of shampoo or coupons redeemable for free shampoo at your local store.

Four times a year you can order a box full of free shampoo samples from your favorite Proctor and Gamble products.
You'll be able to get free shampoo samples from Aussie, Fekkai, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Pantene, and Pert.
