Free Pedometer and Some Great Walking Tips

Get Moving!

From Lee Seats, for About.com

We could all use more exercise, and for most of us, walking is the overall best way to get it. McNeil Consumer Healthcare is offering a free pedometer and you can find some great walking tips including instructions for using a pedometer from Wendy, our Walking Guide.

Free Pedometer

It is particularly important for those with osteoarthritis to keep moving and the makers of Tylenol offer information and a free pedometer to help. You can visit the Tylenol Keep Moving page and request your free pedometer by registering for their newsletter. They have a good privacy policy, but you can feel free to use a junk email address if you wish.

How to Set your Pedometer

Wendy Bumgardner has a great article that shows you how to set your pedometer. She tells you how to calibrate a pedometer so it gives you an accurate measurement. Wendy even clues you in to using the Google Map Pedometer to check your measurements.

Free 10 Week Walking Fitness Program

Wendy also has a fantastic 10 week course called Walk of Life. You can just visit the site every day, or sign up for the email version so you have a daily reminder.
