If you or someone you know has a curiosity for how the World works this free textbook is something worth checking out. The free textbook is written in an entertaining and understandable style, yet manages to teach the concepts of classical and modern physics. The book is a 1200 page 40 megabyte PDF file and is fully searchable. The textbook is written to challenge and surprise the reader on every page. I wish there had been such a great free reference when I was a budding young scientist.

Visit the Motion Moutain: The Physics Textbook site and click on the download link. The author, Dr. Christoph Schiller, only places two restrictions on the free textbook download. You must not charge any money for the text for anything containing part of it. He also requests that you send him feedback with comments and suggestions.

Offer Availability:

The offer is available to anyone with Internet access. If you have a slow connection or have problems downloading the full textbook as one file you go to the chapters page and download the individual chapters.
