Top 5 Free Online Samegame VersionsSamegame is arguably one of the most addicting online games. There are many versions and variations based on the game ChainShot which was developed for Unix text based systems in 1985 by Kuniaki Moribe. Some of the versions are more fun and more addicting than others. I set out to find the top five Samegame versions and almost didn't finish this article because I couldn't pull myself away for these insidious addicting games. The CyberSite Samegame version may not be the prettiest but I found it to be the most addicting of the full-sized online implementations. This version features several difficulty levels. Don't be fooled by the "very easy" level. It is actually quite hard but you get a reshuffle link when you have no more moves. This is the most polished online version of the game I have seen with very smooth movement and eye pleasing graphics. The bombs and row and column destroyer options make this Samegame less frustrating than some. Those extra helpers come in handy because as you progress in levels the game gets difficult quickly. Acceuil has a small version of the game called Relaxation based on Clickomania, the downloadable Windows game. The waterfall background may be relaxing, but the addictive gameplay and the exploding sounds of the blocks clearing sure are not. The thing I like most about this Samegame version is that you can select the number of colors from two to five that you wish to play. This Java version of Samegame is hosted by Java Boutique. This is the only version I have seen that would be easily playable by those who have trouble distinguishing colors as the blocks have a different letter assigned to each color. You can also host this version on your own Web site for free. This variation of Samegame is small and unassuming, but be warned -- if you add it to your personalized Google homepage you may never get any work done. If you are foolhardy enough to not heed my warnings then at least make sure you have to scroll down the page to see it. If you put it at the top it will beckon to you like a siren to a lonely sailor every time you look at the page. Share this Article with a Friend Get the Freebies Weekly Newsletter -- It's FREE!
