Free Food at Kroger All Year Long

Kroger and affiliate grocery stores no longer offer free food promotions.

Every Friday, you can load a digital coupon onto your Plus Card that is redeemable for a free product at Kroger and Kroger affiliate grocery stores.

Note that sometimes these offers are different depending on your region.

You'll need to click on the links below to visit the offer for your local grocery store:

Important: The free food coupon can only be downloaded on the Friday that it's available. You will have two weeks to redeem it for the actual product.

After visiting your local grocery store's website, you'll need to sign in or register for an account at the top of the page before you can download the coupon. You'll need to make sure that you have a Plus Card and it's in your account settings.

On the day the coupon is available, click Digital Coupons on the left-hand side of your local Kroger or Kroger affiliate Promotions page. Click Load to Card to put the coupon on your Plus Card.

The coupon will need to be downloaded only on the date it's available between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. PT. After you've downloaded it, you can view your coupon by visiting your account and clicking View All Coupons under My Coupons.

You'll have two weeks to redeem the digital coupon by using your card when you check out with the item at the store. There's no other purchase required to take home your free item. Here's more information on how the digital coupons at Kroger work.

Tip: There are also free apps for each of the Kroger affiliates for both iPhone and Android phones. You can load the digital coupon onto your Plus card from the app instead of your computer.

Free Samples at Kroger

Like most supermarkets, Kroger and Kroger affiliates will often have free samples given out by employees. You'll mostly find these on the weekend. In addition to free samples, you can take a bite of on the spot, you may also find small packets of take-home samples as well as coupons.

I was in my local King Soopers one day and I came across a huge Free Sample box on an endcap with a bunch of boxes of Nutrigrain bars. Inside the box was lots of different flavors of bars and they were free for the taking. I've never seen a display quite like this but it proved to me once again that we should always keep our eyes open for freebies.

Some Kroger and Kroger affiliate grocery stores have Redbox kiosks outside or just inside the stores. While you're there, you can get a Redbox rental for free!

Keep your eye on special flyers and messages on your receipts for Kroger-only Redbox promotions.
