I've not had excess mailings as a result of requesting offers from Unilever or through StartSampling in the past, but it won't hurt to use a junk email address. They ask for your birth date, but as always, I don't recommend giving out your exact birth date on the Web when it can be avoided. Your date of birth is valuable to identity thieves, and there is no reason to have it floating around in cyberspace unnecessarily.
