Readers Respond: What's the Best Food Sample You've Ever Tasted?

It seems that food samples are the bread and butter of free samples in the freebie world. Most of the free samples given away are food samples such as cereal, snack bars, crackers, cookies, and just about any other food item you can think of.

So this question is for all of you that love getting that tasty treat out of your mailbox - what's the best food sample you've ever tasted? What kind of food sample was it? How big or small was the food sample?

My favorite sample was at Whole Foods during the holiday season. They had a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, two Thin Mints on either side, two Recees on the opposite sides, and another scoop of peppermint ice cream on top. They also suggested that you could add chocolate chips or M&M's for a fun serving suggestion. It was the best and biggest sample I have ever tasted! Yum!

Ocean Spray cranberries/sparkling juice

They were at several community events passing out bags of cranberries and cups of carbonated juice. The juice was delicious (no sugar except just from the fruit) and as I was pregnant, I started craving it after that.

Costco

I had a sample of cheese papusas (my favorite) at Costco and now I buy them all the time. I really appreciate trying something before I buy it.
